always calculating // if you start at the middle, where do you end?

First things first, (I'm the realest), in contrast to the title of this post, let's start at the beginning. A brief introduction, if you will.

While I'm writing this, I'm thinking about that movie Julie and Julia where Meryl Streep is hilarious and Amy Adams has her own blog. And now I feel so cool, but I'm actually not. I'm Lojain (that's what the l stands for), but I'd rather not be known by my name - for now. I'm only fifteen and you see, whenever I state my age, I always feel the necessity to add "only" because I know people won't take me seriously either way.

You don't have to take me seriously.

A half hour before I started this, I was studying for Economics. Because my final exams start in two days (*cue sarcastic applause*) - I know, what the hell am I doing on the interwebs? You see, this is what I mean by starting at the middle. You'd think I'd start this in the beginning of 2015, citing melodramatic resolutions and speaking about new beginnings and blah blah blah. But I'm not like other girls.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a line you'd expect to read in every single dystopian novel.

The third thing you should gather about me by now, is that I am an aspiring writer. That's not why I started this blog, though. I'm not sure why I started this blog. You know those moments, where you're meant to be doing something but you're not, and you suddenly feel like you should embark on a low-key adventure that might, not really, but might change you as a person? If yes, then good for you, because I don't.

Just kidding. That's why I'm here.

Before I say anything else, if I say anything else (because who knows, I might realize how wasteful this actually is and go back to studying), I'd just like to wish everyone who's having exams in the near future, good luck. If you're stressing, I relate. Just remember to take a breath. And if you're stressing, but procrastinating at the same time, then as much as I'd love you to stay on my blog, get your ass back to your textbooks and study (*note to self)!!!

So, this year for me, has been a multitude of confusion. And I'm not looking forward to anything in the near future. And you know how it started for me? You know how it still is for me? Right, at the middle of everything? It's all about growing on the inside - "finding out who I am". If I tell my parents this, the word "hormones" will pop up into the conversation. Because finding out who you are is cliche.

Don't ever let anybody tell you that you embarking on a low-key adventure that might change you as a person is cliche. Because that, at the end of the day, is what finding out who you are is really about.

And sometimes I feel like I know who I am.
And sometimes I really really don't.
And not enough people have told me that everything I'm going through is okay.
And that's why I'm really here.
To tell everyone, and every thing, that whatever you're going through is okay. It's alright.
And I'm going through it, too.
And I got really tired of keeping all the confusion inside of me, so now I'm spilling it on the interwebs, even though I should be studying for Economics.

I hope you feel comfortable and brave enough to spill your confusion on here, too.
But make sure you study for Economics first.

Thanks for visiting my blog?
The fourth thing you should know about me, is that I'm always calculating.
